Thirty years ago, in 1994, Laurie R. King’s The Beekeeper’s Apprentice introduced the world to Mary Russell—apprentice, then partner, and finally wife of Sherlock Holmes. Their adventures have brought together readers from all over the world, and 2024 will find Laurie at the place where she learned to love books: the library.  Our library’s Beekeeper’s Apprentice event will be virtual, on May 1st at 7:00 PM EST. Join Laurie as she talks about where Mary Russell came from, how Russell interacts with Sherlock Holmes, and where the detectives are going from here.
