Short Bio

Purnima Thakre is one of the most popular Bollywood dance instructors in the Boston area, known for welcoming dancers from age 3 to 99. Born in Mumbai and raised on a mix of classical dance and Bollywood music, she brings that joyful, high-energy spirit to every class.

She’s led events with up to 300 participants, taught at many public libraries, and kept communities moving with weekly classes and virtual fundraisers during the pandemic. Whether it’s a Holi flashmob, a corporate event, or a family dance class, Purnima’s sessions are packed with rhythm, joy, and connection.
