This online book discussion is part of our Commit to Your Community program series. We're in Chapter 2: Act with Compassion.

To continue our conversation about homelessness, we'll be discussing the Pulitzer Prize-winning book Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City by Matthew Desmond. Evicted follows eight families in Milwaukee struggling to pay rent to their landlords during the 2007-2008 financial crisis. It highlights systemic issues that are particularly relevant during our current public health crisis.
