Commit to Your Community Book Discussion: Impact

Tuesday, March 307:00—8:00 PMONLINEBeebe Library345 Main Street, Wakefield, MA, 01880

This online book discussion is part of our Commit to Your Community program series. We're in Chapter 3: Advocate for Change.

Chapter Three is all about taking action and uses climate change as an example of a cause. But where to start?  Impact: A Step-by-Step Plan to Create the World You Want to Live In by Christen Brandt and Tammy Tibbetts addresses that very question. Drawing on their network and experience as founders of She's the First,  a nonprofit that fights gender inequality through education, the authors show you how to create your own impact strategy, one that fits into your life, and allows you to match what you have with what the world needs.

Request a copy or find it on OverDrive and join us on Zoom to discuss (link will be sent at 5 pm that day).

Prefer fiction? We'll also be discussing Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler on Wednesday, April 27 at 7:00 pm. Request your copy and sign up here to join the conversation.
