Third and Fourth Graders, along with a favorite adult, are invited to join Beebe Library's First Thursday Book Club.

Share the love of reading in your family! We will be reading some of the very best middle grade books and explore beyond the plot to seek the themes, the authors' secret purpose, and what makes each book special. Along with the discussion, there will be a  craft or activity and a snack that goes along with each month's book.

October's Book :  The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket   The first in the "Series of Unfortunate Events" books.   This is the beginning  of the saga of Baudelaire orphans and their nemesis, Count Olaf.  This book has a bad beginning, a bad middle, and a bad end, but it is so clever, stylish and funny, you'll want to read more!
