Freedom to Read ‘em - A Banned or Challenged Graphic Novel Book Club

For kids entering grades 5-7 in the fall.

We will be reading some great graphic novels to explore beyond the plot and seek the themes, the authors' secret purpose, what makes each book special, and why it has been challenged or banned. Along with the discussion, there will be a craft or activity and a snack that goes along with each month's book.

This month: Drama by Raina Telgemeier
Come behind the curtain of a middle school musical with Callie and her friends who are the backstage team that makes the play’s magic.  Teamwork, creativity, and passion abounds, but so does middle school drama.
