The Traveling Librarian Goes to Mexico City

Wednesday, March 257:00—8:30 PMLecture HallBeebe Library345 Main Street, Wakefield, MA, 01880

Join Jeff Klapes, the Traveling Librarian, for another of his popular armchair travel presentations. The capital of Mexico is North America's largest city and it's a captivating fusion of ancient history and modern energy. Ancient Mesoamerican ruins stand beside colonial architecture and cutting-edge art. World-class museums like the National Archaeological Museum and the Frida Kahlo Museum, dynamic neighborhoods, and legendary cuisine draw travelers from around the world. We'll also take a couple of the city's most popular side trips: to the pyramids of Teotihuacan, and city of Puebla, a cultural mecca a couple of hours away. Jeff is the retired Head of Reference Services at the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library in Wakefield, Massachusetts, and an avid traveler and photographer.
