The Traveling Poetry Emporium: Poems to Go

Thursday, October 86:30—8:30 PMONLINEBeebe Library345 Main Street, Wakefield, MA, 01880

You've seen The Traveling Poetry Emporium at the farmer's market and in the park, now meet them in your own living room...virtually of course! GennaRose Nethercott from The Traveling Poetry Emporium is meeting us on Zoom with her trusty, manual Hermes typewriter in hand, to create an original poem on the spot, just for you!

Here's what to expect from our live virtual event with The Emporium.

1. Name Your Subject - you can name any topic you like (an image, a dream, an object...anything!).  2.  A Poem is Born - GennaRose will compose an original poem on your topic, within five minutes, typed on her Hermes. 3. Keep the Result
-  Finally our poet will read the poem aloud, and we will email a scan of your typewritten poem to you.

Now the logistics:  When we send out the Zoom link, you will be given your place "in line" and a start time for your slot. Each poem takes about seven or eight minutes from request to final reading, and because part of the fun is listening to what GennaRose creates for other people, we invite you to come at the beginning and stay as long as you can. If we have time at the end, GennaRose will be happy to take questions, and maybe even read a little of her own work.

Of course you are welcome to bring other people along with you on Zoom to watch the show, but please remember that anyone who wants their own poem must sign up separately. Space is limited, so please remember to cancel your registration if you find you cannot come.

Registration for this event has now closed.
