April 2023 marks the 100th anniversary of the opening of Lucius Beebe Memorial Library. For the month of April, we want to celebrate the Wakefield community by showcasing Tiny Art! The library will be hosting an Open House and a 100th anniversary event--during which we will have your art on display.

How it works: We'll provide you with a tiny canvas, a few basic paint colors and 2 brushes. You'll have a few weeks to work on your canvas (which you can do during our in-person painting events or at home on our own or with friends.) Then, you return your canvas to the library by March 31st, and we'll put your art in the show! We will return your art to you after April 30. 

Dates to remember:

Thursday, March 9 // 6:30pm - 8pm: Tiny Art kits will be available for pick up. You can take your kit home and start working on it or you can stay at the library and begin painting tonight!
Thursday, March 23 // 6pm - 7:30pm: In-person painting event in the Program Room.
Saturday, March 25 // 10:30am - 12pm: In-person painting event in the Program Room.
Friday, March 31 by 6pm: Last day to return artwork decorated at home.

If you cannot pick up your canvas on March 9th, registered artists are welcome to come by anytime after this date to pick up their kits--so long as they are returned by March 31st!

Pick up your artwork at the library starting Monday, May 1.​ Please note, any artwork not picked up by 5pm on May 12 will become library property.

Tiny Art Ground Rules

• Materials of any kind may be securely glued to the canvas, but artwork must remain 4"x4", and must be able to sit on a mini canvas.
• Decorate as an individual, group, family, or team.
• No vulgarity, please!
• Staff reserve the right to reject any canvases that do not follow these rules.
