NEW Tiny Art: THE HIVE PROJECT

In celebration of springtime, this Tiny Art project will feature hexagonal canvases that will be arranged in a honeycomb display--highlighting the diverse talents within our community.

How it works: We'll provide you with a tiny canvas, a few basic paint colors and 2 brushes. You'll have a few weeks to work on your canvas (which you can do during our in-person painting events or at home on your own or with friends.) Then, you return your canvas to the library by April 26th, and we'll put your art in the show! We will return your art to you after May 30th.

Dates to remember:

Monday, April 1 // 6:30pm - 8:00pm: Tiny Art kits will be available for pick up. You can take your kit home and start working on it or you can stay at the library and begin painting tonight in the Lecture Hall.
Thursday, April 4 // 6:30pm - 8:00pm: In-person painting event in the Program Room.
Saturday April 13 // 2:30pm - 4:00pm: In-person painting event in the Program Room.
Friday, April 26 by 6pm: Last day to return artwork decorated at home.

If you cannot pick up your canvas on April 1st, registered artists are welcome to come by anytime after this date to pick up their kits--so long as they are returned by April 26th!

These canvases will be arranged into a final art piece art that will be displayed at the Beebe Library.

Tiny Art Ground Rules

  • Materials of any kind may be securely glued to the canvas, but artwork must remain 4"x4", and must be able to sit on a mini canvas.
  • Decorate as an individual, group, family, or team.
  • No vulgarity, please!
  • Staff reserve the right to reject any canvases that do not follow these rules.
