Watch and learn: Alice's Ordinary People with Craig Dudnick
Tuesday, February 17:00—8:30 PMONLINEBeebe Library345 Main Street, Wakefield, MA, 01880
This is part one of our new Watch and Learn series, highlighting documentaries on Kanopy, a streaming service available free to our patrons. For each program we invite you to watch a documentary on Kanopy anytime before the event. (New to Kanopy? See instructions for signing up with your library card below). We will then gather to discuss the film in a facilitated conversation on Zoom.
This month's documentary is Alice's Ordinary People. The film tells Alice Tregay's story of ordinary people effecting extraordinary change for human rights. Alice is a woman who refused to stand still for justice. Her remarkable story spans the historic period from the marches of Dr. King to the election of Barack Obama. Her unique contribution in the field of politics is the thread that connects the two.
This hour-long program is a presentation and discussion with independent filmmaker Craig Dudnick, who brought Alice's story to life in the documentary.
Beebe Library cardholders can access this film for free at https://wakefieldlibrary.kanopy.com/video/alices-ordinary-people although it is not necessary to have watched the film to enjoy the program.
