For kids entering grades 5-8

Join Holly to read some excellent  graphic novels, and look “between the lines”  to discuss connections, themes, and inside jokes the authors and illustrators created for the reader. We will be looking at a couple books that are well-loved classics, some will take us to new worlds, and others that will just make us laugh!  An after-school snack and tie-in activities will be included.

October’s Book: Mighty Jack by Ben Hatke. In an out of this world take on “Jack and the Beanstalk,” there is more than meets the eyes in this beautifully illustrated, harrowing adventure!
